How We Work

How Clinic KR Helps International Visitors

Finding and contacting a healthcare provider in another country can involve several steps. International visitors may need to research medical specialties, compare healthcare providers, understand available services, and communicate with a clinic before making a decision.

Clinic KR organizes this process into a simple and transparent workflow.

Our role is to provide information and, when requested, assist with communication between international visitors and healthcare providers in Korea.

We do not provide medical diagnosis or treatment.

1. Understanding Your Request

The process begins when an international visitor explores Clinic KR or submits an inquiry.

Depending on the request, visitors may be looking for information about:

  • Plastic surgery
  • Dermatology
  • Skin treatments
  • Ophthalmology
  • Obstetrics and gynecology
  • Other healthcare services available in Korea

If a visitor contacts us directly, we review the information provided in the inquiry to understand what type of healthcare service or provider the visitor is looking for.

We only need information that is relevant to handling the request. Visitors should avoid submitting unnecessary sensitive medical information.

2. Researching Healthcare Providers

After understanding the request, we research relevant healthcare providers and available information.

We may review publicly available information such as:

  • Medical specialties
  • Healthcare services
  • Provider information
  • Location
  • Facilities
  • International patient services
  • Languages supported
  • Consultation methods
  • Official contact information

Whenever possible, we refer to information provided directly by healthcare providers or other reliable publicly available sources.

Because healthcare provider information can change, important details should always be confirmed directly with the provider.

3. Organizing and Comparing Information

Healthcare providers may offer similar services but differ in location, specialties, facilities, consultation methods, and support for international visitors.

Clinic KR organizes relevant information so visitors can more easily understand the differences between providers.

Our comparison process is intended to support research and informed decision-making.

It is not a medical ranking system.

We do not determine that one doctor, clinic, or hospital is medically better than another, and we do not guarantee the quality or outcome of medical treatment.

4. Connecting With a Healthcare Provider

If a visitor wants to contact a particular healthcare provider, Clinic KR may assist with the initial connection.

Depending on the situation, this may involve:

  • Forwarding an inquiry
  • Providing the provider’s contact information
  • Helping communicate a consultation request
  • Passing information supplied by the visitor to the relevant provider
  • Providing general guidance about the next step

When information is forwarded to a healthcare provider at the visitor’s request, only information reasonably necessary for that purpose should be provided.

The healthcare provider then becomes responsible for responding to medical questions and determining the appropriate course of care.

5. Consultation With the Healthcare Provider

Once connected, the visitor can communicate directly with the healthcare provider.

The healthcare provider may ask for additional information, review the visitor’s circumstances, and determine whether a consultation, examination, treatment, or procedure is appropriate.

This is an important part of our process.

Clinic KR does not make the medical decision.

Medical professionals are responsible for evaluating individual patients and providing medical advice, diagnosis, treatment recommendations, or other healthcare services.

6. Appointment Assistance

When requested and available, Clinic KR may assist with basic appointment coordination.

This may include helping communicate an appointment request or explaining how a visitor can contact the healthcare provider.

However, Clinic KR does not control appointment availability.

The date, time, consultation process, fees, treatment availability, and other conditions are determined by the individual healthcare provider.

Visitors should confirm all appointment details directly with the provider before traveling to Korea.

7. Information Updates

Healthcare information is not static.

Medical services, doctors, clinic locations, prices, consultation methods, languages, and international patient policies may change.

Clinic KR aims to review and update information when necessary.

When we identify outdated or inaccurate information, we may revise the relevant content based on available reliable information.

However, no online directory can guarantee that every piece of information remains current at every moment.

For important decisions, visitors should always verify the latest information directly with the healthcare provider.

8. After the Connection

Our role generally focuses on helping visitors find information and establish communication with healthcare providers.

Depending on the service and circumstances, we may provide additional general information to help international visitors understand the next steps.

However, any medical care, examination, diagnosis, treatment, surgery, prescription, or medical follow-up is provided directly by the relevant healthcare provider.

Clinic KR does not control or guarantee the medical services or treatment outcomes provided by third-party healthcare providers.

Our Principles Throughout the Process

Transparency

We aim to clearly explain who we are, what we do, and what we do not do.

Information First

We focus on providing useful and understandable information rather than making medical decisions for visitors.

Independent Medical Decisions

Medical decisions should be made by qualified healthcare professionals after appropriate consultation and evaluation.

Clear Commercial Relationships

If Clinic KR has a commercial or referral relationship with a healthcare provider, the relationship may be disclosed according to our Partnership & Advertising Disclosure.

Respect for Privacy

Personal information provided through inquiries is handled according to our Privacy Policy and may be shared with a healthcare provider when necessary to fulfill a visitor’s request.
