Clinic Selection Policy

How We Select and Present Healthcare Providers

Clinic KR introduces healthcare providers in Korea to help international visitors research and explore available healthcare options.

We understand that choosing a healthcare provider is an important decision. For this reason, we aim to provide information in a transparent and consistent manner rather than presenting a healthcare provider simply because of its popularity or commercial relationship with us.

Our selection and information process focuses on reliability, relevance, transparency, and usefulness for international visitors.

Clinic KR is not a medical accreditation organization and does not independently certify or medically rank healthcare providers.

1. Verification of Basic Provider Information

When reviewing a healthcare provider for inclusion on Clinic KR, we seek to verify basic information such as:

  • Official healthcare provider name
  • Location and address
  • Medical specialties
  • Services and procedures offered
  • Contact information
  • Official website
  • Available consultation methods
  • Information regarding international patients

Whenever possible, we compare information with the healthcare provider’s official website or other publicly available sources.

If important information cannot be reasonably verified, we may avoid presenting it as a confirmed fact.

2. Medical Specialty and Services

We consider whether a healthcare provider’s medical specialties and services are relevant to the areas covered by Clinic KR.

Our primary areas include:

  • Plastic surgery
  • Dermatology
  • Skin-related treatments
  • Ophthalmology
  • Obstetrics and gynecology
  • Other healthcare services relevant to international visitors

The purpose of this process is to ensure that the information presented on Clinic KR is relevant to visitors who are researching healthcare options in Korea.

3. Information for International Patients

International visitors may have different needs from local patients.

Where information is available, we may consider factors such as:

  • International patient services
  • Languages supported
  • Foreign-language consultation
  • Online consultation options
  • Communication methods
  • Assistance available to international visitors
  • Appointment procedures

These factors help visitors understand whether a healthcare provider may be convenient for an international patient.

However, the presence or absence of these services does not indicate the medical quality of a provider.

4. Accuracy and Source Verification

We aim to use reliable and publicly available information when preparing healthcare provider profiles.

Sources may include:

  • Official healthcare provider websites
  • Official provider materials
  • Publicly available institutional information
  • Government or public-sector information where applicable
  • Other reliable sources

We do not intentionally present unverified claims as established facts.

Healthcare information can change, including physician affiliations, available procedures, prices, locations, and international patient services. We therefore encourage visitors to confirm important information directly with the healthcare provider before making a decision.

5. No Medical Ranking

Clinic KR does not operate as a medical ranking or accreditation organization.

We do not claim that a listed healthcare provider is:

  • The best provider in Korea
  • The safest provider
  • The most experienced provider
  • Medically superior to another provider
  • Guaranteed to produce a particular result

Being featured on Clinic KR should not be interpreted as a medical endorsement or certification.

Our purpose is to organize information so that visitors can conduct their own research and discuss their options with qualified healthcare professionals.

6. Commercial and Partnership Relationships

Clinic KR may have commercial relationships or partnerships with some healthcare providers.

A healthcare provider may therefore be included on the website even when Clinic KR has a business relationship with that provider.

Where applicable, we aim to make such relationships transparent through our Partnership & Advertising Disclosure.

A commercial relationship does not determine the medical suitability of a provider for an individual patient.

Likewise, receiving compensation from a healthcare provider does not mean that Clinic KR guarantees the provider’s medical services or treatment outcomes.

7. Visitor Choice Comes First

Different patients have different medical needs, preferences, budgets, locations, communication requirements, and expectations.

For this reason, Clinic KR does not attempt to make the final healthcare decision for visitors.

Instead, we provide information that may help visitors ask better questions, understand their options, and communicate directly with healthcare professionals.

Visitors should consider their individual circumstances and seek professional medical advice before deciding on a treatment or procedure.

8. Updating Healthcare Provider Information

We recognize that healthcare provider information is not permanent.

Clinics may change their:

  • Doctors
  • Services
  • Prices
  • Locations
  • Opening hours
  • Consultation methods
  • International patient policies
  • Contact information

Clinic KR may periodically review provider information and update pages when relevant changes are identified.

If a healthcare provider or visitor identifies information that appears to be inaccurate or outdated, they may contact us so that we can review the information.

9. Requests for Corrections

Healthcare providers and visitors may contact Clinic KR regarding factual errors or outdated information.

When a correction request is received, we may review the relevant information against available reliable sources.

Where appropriate, we may:

  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Update outdated information
  • Add clarification
  • Remove information that can no longer be reasonably verified

Our goal is to maintain useful and transparent healthcare information rather than to favor a particular provider.

Our Selection Principle

Our approach can be summarized simply:

Verify the information → Assess relevance → Present the facts clearly → Disclose commercial relationships → Let the visitor make the decision

Clinic KR’s role is to help international visitors research healthcare providers in Korea.

We provide information and connection services. We do not medically rank, certify, diagnose, or recommend healthcare providers on behalf of individual patients.
